Working with Us
Practical collaboration begins with listening.
Increased ACCESS is an Indigenous-led organization working at the connections between animal wellbeing, public health, community safety, land and governance. We work alongside Nations and partners to develop approaches shaped by local priorities, knowledge and strengths.
How collaboration can begin
Start with a conversation.
Tell us about your interests, priorities, what may already be working and/or the challenges you want to address.
Bring the right people together.
Together, we identify who needs to be involved, including the appropriate leadership, local staff and others identified by the Nation or organization.
Explore what is practical.
We consider a suitable scope, potential partners, available resources and useful next steps. Each collaboration will look different.
Agree before proceeding.
Before work begins, we agree on responsibilities, permissions and how decisions will be made. For work with a Nation, this includes respecting the Nation’s own governance, terminology and approval processes.
What we can explore together
Community Animal Management
Discussions and planning support that connect animal care with local services, infrastructure, public health, safety and governance.
Youth and school programs
Programs that support learning, empathy and respectful relationships with animals. We can discuss what would suit your school or community.
Multi-use animal buildings
Discussions about designing and constructing spaces for animal care, safe holding, visiting veterinary teams and related community needs. Begin with Increased ACCESS; we can introduce builders as appropriate.
Veterinary-service collaboration
Opportunities through partners, including Mission Pawsible, subject to arrangements, professional capacity and funding. An inquiry begins a discussion about what may be feasible.
We welcome inquiries from anywhere. Our availability depends on the location, scope, partners and resources involved.
BTW, we do not offer rehoming or immediate veterinary care, and an inquiry does not guarantee funding, a clinic visit or a delivery date.
Funders, researchers and professional partners
We welcome conversations with funders, researchers, veterinary professionals, public agencies and other organizations interested in strengthening lasting, locally governed systems.
You might bring research skills, professional expertise, funding, infrastructure experience or delivery capacity. We can explore how these could support community-defined priorities, with clear roles and appropriate permissions.

A short email is enough. It helps to include:
-
Your name, role and Nation or organization, if applicable.
-
Where you are based.
-
What you would like to discuss.
-
Any people already involved or timing considerations.
Share what you know. You do not need a formal proposal or completed intake package.
